To Volunteer with Samaritan's Purse

Samaritan’s Purse organization, headed up by Franklin and Billy Graham, will be using Maranatha Chapel ( 10752 Coastwood Road, SD 92127) as a staging center for relief efforts. Our initial response will be to help homeowners sift through ash, recover belongings, debris cleanup for the uninsured, and tree removal and chipping. We will also supply homeowners with shovels, rakes, masks, garbage bags, safety glasses, and metal garbage containers, etc.  Volunteer must apply through the web site and agree to work an 8 hour shift. http://www.maranathachapel.org

 At this time, we will be focusing efforts on homeowners without insurance, underinsured, elderly, single mothers, and the disabled.

We will be using the five acres behind the church to set up accommodations for volunteers from across the nation.
